Now before you think I’m going to show you how to stand on your head or twist your body into a pretzel, don’t worry – you won’t be doing any of that. I used to be an extreme ‘rubber man’ yogi and ate very healthy but still battled with reflux because I was missing the key thing about Yoga… Yoga is about wholeness and harmony, which mostly happens through the gut and I didn’t even realize I was totally disconnected from it. When we are stressed our body goes into fight-or-flight and everything goes out of balance, then our gut becomes a grumpy gut which causes a cycle of chaos, cravings and inflammation to shift from chaos to harmony I apply the essence of yoga in 4 ways to heal the gut.

My reflux and irritable bowel has been a problem for the last 10 years and it was getting worse until I started doing the gut life program, which gave me easier ways to calm my symptoms rather than the tablets. Now from (re)learning to eat well and better ways to satisfy my sweet tooth I have now almost no symptoms after 1 month! It’s been a great lifestyle change for me and people tell me I’m glowing!

I always thought that my type 2 Diabetes was hereditary and that my high blood pressure was just a sign of nature taking its course and my chronic back pain was part of degeneration and ageing.
